Two Men Formally Indicted for Prison Murder of Former Lostprophets Frontman Ian Watkins
Two individuals now face murder charges following the incarceration fatality of former Lostprophets singer and convicted child sex offender Ian Watkins.
The two men, Rashid Gedel (25) and Samuel Dodsworth (43) now face murder accusations and will appear before Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, per investigating officers.
Watkins, 48, was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield, alongside six more years under supervision, after confessing to numerous sex crimes among them the tried rape of a very young child.
Watkins was apprehended subsequent to a substance-related warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a substantial collection of electronic devices including computers, phones and drives were seized.
